Microelectronic Circuits and Systems

About department

The Chair of Microelectronic Circuits and Systems was established in 2007 based on the collaboration agreement between RAU and Synopsys Armenia CJSCsigned on September 24, 2007.
Since 2007, for the students of the 3rd and 4th years of study, the department has periodically organized optional classes in the disciplines "Microcircuitry" and "Introduction to the automation of electronic design".
In 2012, the first batch of bachelor's degree students was admitted with the specialty 211000-"Design and technology of electronic means”.
In the course of training in this specialty, students specialize in the design and technology of electronic devices. In particular, according to the curriculum, special disciplines are delivered in the following areas:

  • Design of digital and analog electronic means
  • Logical design of electronic devices
  • Design and technology of integrated circuits
etc.
In 2016, the first batch of master’s degree students was admitted with the specialty 11.04.04 - "Electronics and nanoelectronics", with the main educational program: Microelectronic circuits and systems.
Practical and laboratory classes on special disciplines are conducted with the use of electronic design automation software and tools of Synopsis.
Along with state diplomas, graduates receive certificates of the Synopsis company.
